Life of expat wives is two-fold.
You may say they are privileged to enjoy luxurious “housewife” lives abroad with generous expat packages.
But there, in reality, are so many expat wives or trailing wives struggling with finding their own professional identities after giving up their career trajectories back home to follow their partners.
In my home country Japan, people sometimes say your spouse or significant other and you are“joint venture”.
Similar to that, I love how they call student’s partners “Joint Ventures” or “JVs” at a business school my partner is currently going to.
I’m hoping this website will become a community where many JVs across the globe share their insights and encourage each other!
